Founded in 2010, The Rapunzel Project’s mission is to create awareness of the existence & efficacy of cold cap therapy (also called scalp cooling), a process which allows many patients to keep their hair during chemotherapy. Funds raised by The Rapunzel Project are used to create awareness among patients, medical personnel & the media that hair loss during chemotherapy can be prevented through the use of specialized cold caps, as well as to purchase biomedical freezers that facilitate the capping process & are donated to chemotherapy clinics who are supportive of cold capping.
The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals & families affected by eating disorders. Eating disorders are widely misunderstood illnesses & support options are often inaccessible. As a result, too many people are left feeling helpless, hopeless, & frightened. Through our programs and services, NEDA raises awareness, builds communities of support & recovery, funds research, & puts life-saving resources into the hands of those in need. NEDA supports individuals & families affected by eating disorders, & serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures & access to quality care.
